Oliseh stated on Sunday that he supports Augustine Eguavoen, the interim coach of the Super Eagles.
In September, Eguavoen assumed interim leadership of the Super Eagles.
The 59-year-old led the squad through the qualifying stages for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
With three victories, two draws, and one loss from six games, the Super Eagles qualified from Group D.
However, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is still considering hiring a foreign coach, therefore the former defender’s future is questionable.
“Austin Eguavoen is intelligent. He is not a moron. Additionally, I would want to state that I fully support him. Since I have a lot of respect for him,” Oliseh told News Central.
“He is someone I battled with, honoring our homeland.” He is an honest and decent guy. Furthermore, he is my compatriot, so he has my full support.”
