Progressive Forces, a South African organization, has started a petition to bar Chidimma Adetshina from participating in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
This follows Adetshina’s Wednesday arrival in Mexico.
The recently crowned Miss Universe Nigeria traveled to Mexico to compete for her nation in the 2024 edition of the international pageant, which is set for November.
When Chidimma Adetshina’s Miss South Africa pageant was announced, she was criticized throughout South Africa.
The South African Department of Home Affairs, or DHA, responded to the scandal by stating that initial evidence points to fraud and identity theft on the part of Chidimma’s mother.
She accepted an invitation to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant after withdrawing from the competition due to the accusations.
