Nigerian forces dealt a devastating blow to rebel organizations in a single week of rigorous operations by destroying 165 combatants, apprehending 238 suspects, and liberating 188 hostages as part of a massive counterterrorism drive.

During a week-long operation that also resulted in the rescue of 188 kidnapped captives, the Nigerian military neutralized 165 fighters and arrested 238 individuals, dealing a serious blow to terrorist groups operating in the nation.

The leadership of these terror groups and a significant portion of their combat capability have been decimated by the military’s stepped-up war effort, which involves the deployment of deadly soldiers and airstrikes.

Prominent accomplishments including the killing of infamous terrorist leader Mai Hijabi in Jigawa State, stopping an oil heist worth N688,125,150.00, and finding 153 different types of weapons and 2,182 rounds of ammunition.

Troops found and destroyed 39 storage tanks, 58 boats, and two dugout pits in the Niger Delta. They also recovered 789,200 liters of stolen crude oil and 64,950 liters of illegally refined AGO.

The military is reevaluating operations to better safeguard and protect residents while assuring the public that it is winning the fight.

“We acknowledge the pressing need to guarantee safety and tranquility for every individual throughout the nation,” stated Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defense Media Operations. “We are working on new strategies to better protect the nation.”
