In the midst of the devastating floods that have devastated portions of Borno State, President Bola Tinubu says the federal government would stand by the state’s leadership and citizens.
On Monday, during his visit to the state, the President pledged this guarantee. He expressed his sorrow over the significant losses brought about by the flooding and offered his sympathies to the state administration and flood victims.
The floods have caused property worth millions of naira to be destroyed, approximately a million people to be displaced, and about 37 deaths.
“I’m here to offer my condolences. My Vice President personally provided me with specifics once I heard the report. I had to postpone my vacation to be with you even though I was headed straight to America.
I sincerely appreciate your guidance and the numerous prayers you have sent. While addressing the palace of Alhaji Abubakar Ibn El-Kanemi, the Shehu of Borno, Tinubu said, “This is one disaster that we must pay attention to, we will help Borno State.”
