Given the security situation that is roiling some areas, the Senate Committee on Defense said Monday that no investment in security or the Nigerian Armed Forces will be too much for the nation to handle.

Following an oversight visit to the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, in Kaduna state, Senator Ahmad Lawal, the committee’s chairman, revealed this to reporters.

According to the congressman, security is the most important issue in the nation right now.

He pledged that the country’s military and security forces will continue to receive the attention they currently deserve thanks to the efforts of the upper house of parliament.

“We can easily and comfortably provide other things once we are able to secure our environment,” he stated.

According to Lawal, the AFCSC is regarded by the Senate as one of the most significant organizations for the country’s military’s education and training.

“This applies to officers who oversee different military operations at the tactical, operational, and mid-level levels,” he stated.
