During the most recent summer transfer window, Galatasaray veteran Dževad Prekazi has maintained that Victor Osimhen desired to move to England.
Prekazi expressed his amazement at Osimhen’s choice to join the Turkish powerhouses and blamed Napoli for the striker’s unsuccessful attempt to enter the Premier League.
After deciding to leave Napoli, Osimhen had set his sights on either returning to the French Ligue 1 or relocating to the Premier League.
But because Napoli valued him so highly, it was challenging for teams like Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain to sign him.
Prekazi told TRT Spor via Cumhuriyet, “I couldn’t believe Osimhen, I couldn’t believe he would come to Galatasaray and that he did.”
“He wanted to go to England, but the transfer was very expensive in Napoli, so that was the problem.”
“I don’t know how he came to Galatasaray,” he continued. It’s fantastic; it’s clear that he will contribute greatly. He cannot be kept by anyone.
