During the Abia State local government election, the Allied Conservative Congress (ACC) has pledged to oppose any effort to thwart the electorate’s will.

According to Uwalaka Onyekachi, the party’s chairman in Abia State, who made this statement in Umuahia, his party has a secret report that suggests the election scheduled for November 2 may not be free and fair.

He counseled Professor George Chima and the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC) to hold a free and fair election without favoring any one political party or candidate.

Uwalaka warned that things would not be going as planned because, in his words, the AAC is prepared to go to the polls and will fight against any kind of election manipulation.

In order to prevent violence during and after the election, the ACC Chairman emphasized the significance of adhering to electoral laws and regulations, characterizing Abia as a medium-risk location for election violence.

Professor George Chima, the chairman of the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission, has insisted that the elections will be transparent.
