As the Nigerian musician with the most charting singles in the history of the US Billboard Hot 100, singer Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, has overtaken his colleague Tems.
With the release of Cold Play’s “We Pray,” which features him, LittleSimz, Elyanna, and TiniStoessel, on the chart this week, he broke a tie with Tems and accomplished the feat.
Burna Boy now has six entries on the chart as “We Pray” debuted at No. 87 on this week’s Hot 100.
Wizkid, the first Nigerian musician to make their debut, has four restaurants, while Tems has five entries on the leaderboard.
Davido, Lojay, Fireboy, Rema, and CKay each have one entry.
Burna Boy is just one song away from surpassing Seether of South Africa as the African performer with the most Billboard Hot 100 chart entries of all time.
