FCT Minister Barrister Nyesom Wike has approved the immediate payment of the New National Minimum Wage of N70,000 to Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) employees in an effort to improve the lot of workers employed by the administration.
According to a statement made by Mrs. Grace Adayilo, the FCT’s interim head of civil service, the minister also approved the payment of three months’ arrears to all administrative employees starting in November 2024.
The statement went on to say that the action was a component of the minister’s dedication to the staff’s welfare and well-being.
The Head of Service stated that this action would further encourage all government employees to assist the minister in carrying out President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Adayilo also expressed gratitude to the Minister for consistently approving worker allowance and claim payments quickly.
