Their operational skills have been severely harmed by the notable victories the Nigerian Armed Forces have had in continuing operations against oil thieves and terrorists.

Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defense Media Operations, claims that forces have stopped terrorist activities nationwide, killing five prominent IPOB/ESN leaders and apprehending infamous commander Usman Maisaje.

Due to his cooperation with authorities, the arrest of Usman Maisaje, a close companion of wanted terrorist leader Kachalla Boka, has produced important intelligence. Troops also rescued 157 captives who had been kidnapped and detained 227 people, including 45 oil thieves. Additionally, the military retrieved N712,065,450 worth of stolen property.

1,463 rounds of ammunition and 71 different guns are among the recovered goods. Troops specifically confiscated five dane guns, five pump action weapons, five locally manufactured pistols, fifty AK-47 rifles, and sixteen fake rifles. 164 rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition, 403 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, and 784 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition were among the other things found.

Troops found and destroyed 38 storage tanks, 48 boats, 52 drums, and four dugout pits used for illicit oil activity in the Niger Delta. They also found 76,800 liters of illegally refined AGO and 712,535 liters of stolen crude oil. In addition, soldiers confiscated six cell phones, two speedboats, one tricycle, 55 cooking ovens, and six cars.

The military has reiterated its determination to dismantle infrastructure that supports terrorism and weaken its capabilities.
