Rapper Olamide has been proclaimed the king of Nigerian street music by singer Crown Uzama, better known by his stage name Shallipopi.

Olamide’s reputation on the street led Shallipopi to include him in his song “Order,” he explained in a recent interview with Naija FM.

“The father and king of street music in Nigeria is Baddo [Olamide].” Since “Order” is a street song and Olamide rules the street, I had to include him on it,” he remarked.

During the interview, Shallipopi also acknowledged that he had split from Dapper Music.

He claimed that after his contract expired, he left the label.

He denied rumors that he and his previous label were at odds.

He claims that they get along well.
