According to reports, members of the Nigerian Army are fighting bandits under the infamous Bello Turji in a fierce gunfight.
According to reports, the continuous conflict between Turji’s forces and Nigerian military is occurring in the Sabon Birni region of Sokoto State.
Abdulsalam Suleiman Izuagbe, a public affairs analyst and senior consultant, revealed this on Thursday, saying that passengers are no longer able to get from Shinkafi to Sabon Birni.
Izuagbe claims: “As I speak to you, Bello Turji is engaged in combat with the Nigerian Army in Sabon Birni.
“In the Sabon Birni neighborhood, they are exchanging gunfire. As of right now, it is no longer safe for anyone to go from Shinkafi to Sabon Birni. To believe that everything is going as usual is to miss the point.
ASP Sanusi Abubakar, the spokesperson for the Sokoto State Police Command, had not returned calls or texts to his cell phone at the time this report was filed.
