Ngozi Okobi, a midfielder for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, announced the birth of her first child earlier today, September 17.
Using the hashtags #godbepraised #iamamother #newmom, Ngozi Okobi announced the birth of her daughter on her Instagram page. She also thanked God and embraced her new role as a mother.

The 30-year-old football player captured the priceless moments of her pregnancy journey with adorable images of her growing baby bump to go along with her sweet message.

Ngozi had decided to keep her pregnancy a secret up until she made her announcement, only sporadically posting pictures of her workouts and everyday activities on social media.

She married Ahmed Okeoghene in Delta State on December 9, 2017, and he supported her over the nearly seven years she spent pursuing her football career as a midfielder before the birth of their child.

Throughout his incredible career, Ngozi Okobi has represented Nigeria in several international competitions.

She demonstrated her abilities in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup (2012), the 2010 WAFCON, the 2010 Under-17 Women’s World Cup, and the 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2022 WAFCON competitions. She also participated in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and 2019.

Ngozi has an amazing record, yet former coach Randy Waldrum famously left her out of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 roster. She hasn’t joined the national team again since.
