Purity Agro Chemical Center in Gboko, Benue State, has been sealed by NAFDAC’s agents, according to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.
According to the EPA, 724 boxes of Patriarc agrochemicals that had expired were found in the storage.
In a message published on its official X handle on Friday, NAFDAC disclosed this information.
According to the announcement, 724 cartons of expired Patriarc agrochemicals were found and sealed at the Purity Agro Chemical Center in Gboko, Benue State, by NAFDAC.
724 boxes of Patriarc agrochemicals that were unlawfully revalidated with new shelf lives for distribution were discovered in the warehouse, along with a number of unregistered goods like Kris Herbicide, E-Tong Reapon 800WG, Onion Texas, Tomato Chiloli, and Hot Pepper.
The site has been secured after NAFDAC agents confiscated the unregistered and expired agrochemicals. The company’s owner is still at large, and efforts are being made to get him arrested.
