Following a successful precision night airstrike in Degbewa and Chikide, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, the Nigerian Air Force, acting under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), destroyed important terrorist infrastructure and neutralized a sizable number of Boko Haram terrorists.

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst with extensive knowledge of insurgency issues in the northeast, made this revelation on X on Wednesday.

The bombings were directed at high-profile Boko Haram leaders following indications of a major gathering of rebels in the area.

The raid, which occurred on Tuesday evening, deliberately targeted camps under the supervision of Ali Ngulde, a renowned Boko Haram leader.

Following the incident, a number of terrorists were reportedly killed and others were injured.

The strike dealt a serious blow to the insurgency in the area by destroying important terrorist hideouts.
