A recent incident in Kano has resulted in a three-month suspension of Max Air’s operations by the Federal Government. On Tuesday evening, a Max Air plane carrying 53 passengers experienced a tire burst during landing at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport. Thankfully, none of the passengers suffered serious injuries during the safe evacuation.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) responded to the serious occurrence by imposing the suspension. The purpose of this action is to protect passenger safety and stop future occurrences of this kind.

It is important to note that the event may have been caused by the airline’s aircraft losing its nose landing gear tire during landing. Since the incident, the runway at Kano airport has reopened.
