Olajumoke Orisaguna, a well-known bread vendor who is now a model, has accused her ex-husband of violence. When the model talked about her experience with domestic abuse, she made this clear.

She claimed in an interview with City FM that Sunday Orisaguna, her ex-husband, also destroyed her career. We stayed in my husband’s family home in Ire, Osun State, and there is no way to stay somewhere and not run into issues.

“My mother-in-law was really mean to me, and I had to shut down my hair salon on time in order to go make dinner at home.”

And her son listened to whatever she told him. Before assaulting me, he refused to listen to my side of the story. He would beat me till my face and torso were swelled if I had a disagreement with his mother.

He would occasionally even wear a belt. I didn’t want my mother to hear about it, so I would keep it a secret. She also resided in the same area. She will claim she didn’t propose to me to anyone if I tell her about it.

Even my mom’s sister, who had lived in Ire longer than I had, opposed my marriage to him because she understood what she was saying. However, there was nothing that could be done.

My mother did not get involved in the matter because she would say that she did not approve of marriages and that she could not ask me to leave the place. The pounding was only known to those who shared our residence.

I kept it a secret. When I planned to go to Lagos in January 2016, we were preparing akara for his father’s memorial service when I got into a fight with his older sister.

He beat me up as usual, so I made the decision to leave, relocate to Lagos, and work at the bakery since I had previously worked there.

I packed my bags and took my two kids to Lagos on the third day following the tragedy because I was unable to leave them there.

I had to tell my friend what had happened when I got to the bakery, and she was relieved that I had finally left because she was among those who had warned me about him. I was putting up with it all. He was unemployed. The one going out to hustle was me. We had been apart for nearly four years.

After we split up, everything went south because he began to ruin my reputation. Things have been declining since then.Olajumoke rose to fame in 2016 after inadvertently entering a British rapper Tinie Tempah picture session that was taken by TY Bello.
