Kogi State’s ability to combat the lingering effects of crime and insecurity has been reinforced by Dangote Cement Plc.

In this regard, the Lokoja Local Government Area has received a donation of motorcycles from the cement conglomerate.

The spokesperson, Abubakar Jibril, said in a statement released on Tuesday that

Hon. Abdullahi Adamu, the Executive Chairman of the Lokoja Local Government Area, received the motorbikes from Engr. Azad Nawabuddin, the Plant Director of Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana.

Speaking at the ceremony, Engr. Azad praised the state government and the local government’s executive chairman for their persistent efforts to combat crime and insecurity.

He pointed out that the motorcycles’ donation will significantly improve the state’s and the local government’s ability to fight crime.

The Executive Chairman responded by thanking Alhaji Aliko Dangote for the support and expressing his delight with the gesture.

In addition to praising Engr. Azad for organizing the admirable gesture, the chairman assured him that the Local Government Area would continue to receive support, noting that the Dangote Cement Plant is a valuable resource for the state and Nigeria overall.

He claimed that the company’s presence had contributed to the transformation of the local administration.
