Kemi Badenoch, the divisive head of the UK Conservative Party, has spoken out about her religious beliefs.
Badenoch said she no longer believes in God in a podcast hosted by Free Press editor Bari Weiss on Friday.
She emphasized that she identifies as agnostic and highlighted that her lack of belief in God does not make her an atheist.
As she put it, she was a “cultural Christian.”
“I no longer believe in God,” Badenoch declared. However, I am an agnostic rather than an atheist. I used to have a strong belief in God, but these days I consider myself to be a cultural Christian.
“Whether or not people believe in God is irrelevant, in my opinion. The important thing is what people do with the conviction or the lack of it.”
