The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Police Force has apprehended four major suspects, successfully dismantled the hideouts of kidnappers, and retrieved a cache of weapons and ammunition.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the Anti-Kidnapping Unit tracked and captured the suspects on Tuesday based on reliable information.

The suspects, named as Yusuf Hassan, Kabiru Mohammed, Nuhu (also known as Giwa), and Yau Sani (also known as Baba), an ex-convict, were discovered hiding in plain sight in the Sauka neighborhood of Abuja.

They admitted to many kidnappings and the murder of seven victims in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its environs, including Dakwa, Dawaki, Aco Estate, Dupe Village, Zuma Rock, Kuchiko village, and communities in Niger and Kaduna, during questioning.

Four AK-47 weapons were found during a second hiding in Gauraka Forest, Suleja, Niger State, which was discovered by the suspects during an additional search.
