The Prime Minister of Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE), Simon Ekpa has declared lockdown on Tuesday in Enugu State to hunt police officer who murdered a popular Igbo Jah.
It was reported that a police officer attached to the Anti-Cult Unit of the Enugu State Police Command murdered popular Ogene musician known as Igbo Jah after he performed at a burial on Friday 25th October, 2024.
Reacting to the killing in a post on his X handle on Saturday, Ekpa said there should be an end to the incessant killings of Igbos in the state.
“The entire Enugu State will be under lockdown on Tuesday, 29 October 2024; this day will be used to fish out the killers of this innocent man. Enough is enough”, he stated.
The killing had attracted wide outrage among youths in Enugu State, which resulted in protests.
