Following their outstanding performance against Hellas Verona, Ademola Lookman lavished praise on his Atalanta teammates.
On Saturday night, Gian Piero Gasperini’s team crushed the visitors 6-1 at Gewiss Stadium.
Lookman scored two goals and provided two assists throughout the game, earning him the title of Man of the Match.
According to the Nigerian international, they gave the game their best effort.
“The team put in another strong performance. We scored five goals in the first half, and everyone was on point,” Lookman told Sky Sport Italia.
The 27-year-old will now arrive in luxury at Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
