Business tycoon and aging statesman Aminu Alhassan Dantata has contributed ₦1.5 billion to help those affected by the recent catastrophic flood in Borno State’s capital city of Maiduguri.
Dantata, accompanied by a delegation from Kano, presented the donation at Government House, Maiduguri, on Tuesday.
He visited Governor Babagana Zulum, the state administration, and the people impacted by the tragedy, particularly those who lost loved ones, to offer his sincere condolences.
Dantata emphasized the country’s economic problems and urged politicians and elite figures to behave honorably and with fear of Allah. In addition, he prayed for harmony and peace in Borno State and throughout Nigeria.
Governor Zulum responded by expressing his sincere gratitude for Dantata’s visit and highlighting how his kind act provides a great deal of encouragement and support in these trying times.
The 96-year-old’s visit is much appreciated by the people of Borno as a gesture of humanity. Allow me to state this: Our Baba has contributed ₦1.5 billion to aid those affected by flooding. May Aljannah be your blessing and reward from Allah. Mu gode, Baba,” said Zulum.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Dantata’s nephew, gave ₦1 billion to help those devastated by the floods, and this gift comes after his kind gesture.
