Social media users have taken issue with Nigerian artist Asake after he broke a fan’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in Germany.
Asake angrily grabbed the fan’s phone and crushed it on the ground during a recent performance in Germany.

A fan named Adeoti posted a video of the event on social media, capturing the moment he attempted to take a photo with Asake before he violently destroyed his phone out of rage.
He captioned the video with “@asakemusic.” My iPhone 16 Pro Max was broken by you. You wouldn’t act that way toward a fan simply because they got upset in the club. In the case, I still adore you.
Social media users were quick to react to the footage after it went viral, criticizing Asake for destroying the phone.
