Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, has stressed that hard work and professionalism lead directly to military promotion. At the investiture ceremony of senior officers elevated to the rank of Major, held on October 7, 2024, in the Army Headquarters Conference Room in Abuja, he made this declaration.
The Directorate of Army Public Relations (DAPR) has greatly benefited from the adaptability, persistence, and tenacity of Majors Audu Arigu and Akinola Ajibola.
General Nwachukwu encouraged them to maintain their energy and drive, attributing their success to their spouses and family members.
The newly promoted officers were urged to represent the values and objectives of the DAPR with the highest professionalism by former Army Public Relations Director Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman (rtd) and former Defense Spokesman Major General Chris Olukolade (rtd).
In order to strengthen the DAPR’s efforts and advance the reputation of the Nigerian Army, Major Audu Arigu pledged constant discipline and professional conduct. He also expressed gratitude to God, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, and other senior officers.
Notable people attended the ceremony, including Colonel Mustapha Anka (rtd), the former commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), and Major General Chris Olukolade (rtd), the former director of Army public relations and defense information.
