President Bola Tinubu has been urged by the Arewa Consultative Forum, or ACF, to reconsider his economic reforms in order to show a deeper understanding of the predicament of Nigerians, particularly those in the north.
Following its National Executive Council, or NEC, meeting in Kaduna on Wednesday, the ACF released a statement expressing dissatisfaction with the current administration’s economic policies, claiming that they have made life more difficult for the typical Nigerian.
The Forum highlighted the northern region’s particular vulnerabilities, pointing out that its residents were impacted by food shortages, restricted access to education and skill development, and a dependence on microeconomic activities for survival.
Many people’s lives depend on micro-activities, so it was stressed that even though economic reforms were required, they shouldn’t make poverty or hardship among the citizens they are meant to help worse.
Food insecurity is severe and persistent in the area, and young people there lack education and skill development. Despite their intimidating nature, these are reversible. Now is the moment to think big.
With no sign of the necessary sensitivity to the terrible existential conditions of the Arewa people, the policies of the current federal administration have continued to exacerbate the dire economic problems in Arewa.
In summary, t tinubu are ACFeven though economic reforms are desirable, they shouldn’t result in poverty among the people they are meant to assist. According to the message, the folks may not be present to take advantage of the purported benefits. In the past, the group has declared that it would back a Northern candidate for president in 2027.
