Jose Peseiro has received a nomination for the Men’s World Best National Coach title from the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, Peseiro guided the Super Eagles to second place.
In the competition’s final, the Elephants defeated the Super Eagles 2-1.
For the first time, the Portuguese were nominated for the coveted prize.
Twenty additional coaches are also vying for the honor.
Other notable coaches nominated for the prize are Lionel Scaloni of Argentina, Luis de la Fuente of Spain, and Didier Deschamps of France.
