Chinaza Uchendu, a forward for the Super Falcons, has signed with Nantes, a D’Arkema team in France.
Uchendu came to the Canaries from Galatasaray, the Turkish League Champions. The 26-year-old made just five league appearances in the previous season due to his struggles to get consistent playing time at Galatasaray.
Still, the striker is hoping for a fruitful stint in France.
“I’m excited to become a member of FC Nantes. I will learn more about this championship, about which I know very little,” she stated on the official club website.
That being said, I have visited France before. 2019 saw me compete in the World Cup; Germany eliminated Nigeria in the round of 16. I recall the throng. I had never performed for such a large crowd before. I had to deal with well-known people. The thought of reuniting with the fans and making new experiences excites me much.
In 2018, Uchendu commenced her European journey with the Portuguese club Braga.
She has also represented South Korea’s Gyeongju and Sweden’s Linkoping FC.
