Asari Dokubo, a former insurgent leader from the Niger Delta, has stated that he supports Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State.

Dokubo stated that soldiers dispatched by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), were passing over his residence.

This occurs on the day that Rivers State’s local government chairperson elections were held.

“Wike’s soldiers and police have been flying over my house with two helicopters,” Dokubo angrily said. I am able to hold them in check.

Nigeria is unable to submit to Wike. The people of Rivers state will not submit to Wike. The government is aware that I am able to hold them in check. Allow them to tell Wike to desist.

“I’m sixty years old. Death has never frightened me. I’ve always accepted death. I refrained from searching for their helicopter in order to take it down. I’m going to fire down their chopper. By Allah, I swear.

“WARNING: Whoever is giving orders, take heed. Tinubu need to give up now that enough is enough. Without the office supplies, Wike is nothing. Allow them to take this item out of him and observe.

“You will witness me casting my ballot. We’ll see after the chairmen are sworn in and the results are declared.
