Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, has once again accepted the invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on allegations of financial mismanagement.
Tuesday morning, Bello and his attorneys visited the anti-graft agency’s office. This came after the Supreme Court ruled against the states’ lawsuit contesting the anti-graft agency’s legitimacy.
The former governor and his solicitors drove themselves to the EFCC office in a black Toyota Hilux.
In its new case against Bello, the EFCC requested an extension until November 27 at the most recent hearing on November 14.
The EFCC claimed that the 30-day deadline for the previously issued summons was still open. Details will be provided soon.
