The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has expressed shock over the death of Richard Adamu Tallen, son of former Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Pauline Tallen.
He prayed to God for the late Richard’s soul to rest in peace, describing the loss as unanticipated.
The Vice President paid a condolence visit to the family’s Abuja residence on Monday, accompanied by Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President (Office of the Vice President), according to information released by the Presidency.
Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed shock at the death of the late Minister’s son but praised the deceased’s promising future and contributions to Nigeria’s progress. He was advancing Nigerian growth and had such a promising future.”
The Vice President said, speaking to the bereaved family, that no parent would want their son to suffer such a tragedy.
“I can only image the suffering the family is going through right now,” he said. I offer my condolences to you on behalf of my principal, President Bola Tinubu. May God give you the strength to endure this loss and the heart to hold back the hurt.
“May God grant you comfort and peace to his young family, understanding that life is given and taken at His will for all of us.” May he rest in eternal peace with God.”
Richard Tallen’s wife and three children survive him; he passed away in Abuja over the weekend.
