Despite some people calling him that, music executive Ubi Franklin has clarified that he is neither Davido’s personal assistant nor his nanny.
In response to a comment on X that described him as Davido and his wife’s personal assistant, the former artist manager revealed this.
The afrobeats singer calls him a solutionist, and Ubi said he works as a company administrator.
“If you see me working for Davido, it’s because I have the necessary skills and experience to do the job of a business administrator,” he said. “Ubi is the CEO of Mademusicg.”
“David refers to me as #thesolutionist; feel free to use that anyway you choose. Not his nanny or PA, as most of you have attempted to make fun of me. If that brings you joy, then so be it. My focus is on business, and I will remain there forever.
On March 30, 2022, Nigerian musician Timaya tweeted that Ubi was Davido’s hired nanny.
Later, in October 2023, Davido called Ubi a nanny in a joking jab as they were traveling together on a plane.
