According to President Bola Tinubu, his administration has succeeded in lowering the country’s debt servicing burden from 97% to 65%.
While praising the new ministers for agreeing to serve the nation during this trying period, Tinubu advised them to be prepared for abuses and criticism from Nigerians but to keep their attention on improving the lives of more than 200 million Nigerians.
This was stated by Tinubu on Monday during the swearing-in ceremony for the seven newly appointed ministers to his cabinet.
Among those sworn in are Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labor & Employment, and Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment (Trade and Investment); Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Minister of Livestock Development; Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development; and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Minister of State for Education, were among the other individuals who took the oath of office at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
