The major Christian pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan in 2024 has been formally launched by President Bola Tinubu.
Celestine Toruka, the Christian pilgrimage’s Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations, made this announcement in a message that was posted on the Commission’s official X handle on Monday.
George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, spoke on behalf of the president, who encouraged pilgrims to see their journey as a chance to deepen their trust in God.
He pointed out that the 2024 pilgrimage’s theme, “Pilgrimage of Renewed Hope for Total Restoration,” is in line with his administration’s goals and objectives.
The planned pilgrims were urged by the president to offer prayers for the advancement of Lagos State, Nigeria, and their families.
Tinubu emphasized that there is no greater place than home and cautioned the pilgrims against escaping while in the Holy Land.
