Three people who were allegedly working with terrorist groups in Taraba State were successfully captured by the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade troops.
According to a brigade statement, the operation, which was executed with intelligence and precision, happened on October 15, 2024, in the Lau Local Government Areas (LGA) near Landey Jessy village.
Three suspected collaborators, Ahijo Sulaiman, Abdulrahman Isah, and Aisha Mohammed, were arrested as a result of operations carried out by troops of 6 Brigade in response to intelligence reports of bandit activity in the Kona mountain range, which crosses Jalingo and Lau LGAs.
The statement claims that Aisha Mohammed, Ahijo Sulaiman’s wife, admitted during the investigation that Ahijo’s house is used to conceal their weapons following operations. However, in September 2024, Abdulrahman tried to kidnap a victim in Iware in Ardo-Kola LGA, and the victim identified him. The accused are presently being investigated further while in their own custody.
The Nigerian Army is still dedicated to maintaining the country’s territorial integrity and safeguarding people and property. As we collaborate to eradicate terrorism and all forms of instability from the nation, we implore the public to keep giving security agencies accurate and timely information.
