The 2024 CAF Awards’ National Team of the Year went to Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco and Banyana Banyana of South Africa were defeated by the nine-time African champions to win the trophy.
On behalf of the team, Ibrahim Gusau, president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), accepted the prize. Right now, the Super Falcons are the continent’s top-ranked team.
Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, a forward with the Falconets, was not selected as the Women’s Young Player of the Year. Morocco’s Doha El Madani took home the prize.
