Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar Ill, the Sultan of Sokoto, has received praise for his services and attempts to eradicate terrorism and ignorance in Nigeria.

The Sultan, who serves as the Chairman of the National Council for Traditional Rulers and President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, was also praised for fostering unity and knowledge among Nigerians.

Following the Sultan’s visit to Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, the Islamic Scholars of Ilorin Emirate sent a letter signed by Dr. Abdulkadir Salman, the First Mallami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate (The Grand Sheikh), expressing their admiration.

Dr. Abdulkadir praised the Sultan’s efforts to combat terrorism in the nation and advance peaceful coexistence.

“We recognize and value your efforts to combat ignorance and terrorism as well as your unwavering advocacy for knowledge, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence among the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.” We would continue to imitate your unwavering commitment to morality and virtue,” the Islamic scholar continued.

He characterized the Sultan as a devout and intriguing leader of the Nigerian Muslim community and conveyed his appreciation for his love and sympathy for common people.

“Your love, compassion, and passion for regular people never cease to astound me. It reflects both the DNA and your piety. Your Eminence was passed down from Shaykh Uthman Dan Fodiyo, the founder of the Sokoto caliphate and the leader of the faithful, along with all of his distinguished predecessors.

“We recognize and value your efforts to combat ignorance and terrorism as well as your unwavering advocacy for knowledge, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence among the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.” We would continue to imitate your unwavering commitment to morality and virtue,” the Islamic scholar continued.

Since you became the Sultan of Sokoto some 20 years ago, you have consistently shown love to the Muslim population in Nigeria’s Western, Eastern, Southern, and Northern regions as well as to people of other nations,” he remarked.

He thanked the Sultan for another historic visit to Ilorin and prayed to God for good health and other things he desired so he could continue to support the Nigerian Muslim Community’s exceptional leadership.

The Emir of Ilorin linked the First Mallami Ubandoma, the founder and proprietor of Darul-Kitab Wa Sunnah College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Ilorin, to the Sultan, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari who warmly received the Sultan on his short visit to Ilorin.

The Sultan of Sokoto traveled to Ilorin to attend the convocation ceremony of Ojaja University, which is owned by ba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ife dynasty, and the public lecture and book presentations honoring Professor Is’aq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), at the University of Ilorin.

Before the Monarch departed to Sokoto, the Caliphate’s capital, the First Mallami Ubandoma of the Ilorin Emirate offered a farewell prayer for the Sultan at the General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin.
