The reason behind Soulja Boy’s performance at a Donald Trump inaugural event has been disclosed by the American rapper.
Fans have criticized Soulja Boy, Nelly, and Snoop Dogg for accepting the invitation to perform at Trump’s inauguration balls, believing that they violated their confidence.
The rapper responded to the criticism by claiming that he was compensated to play at the event.
He clarified that Trump benefitted him whereas former President Barack Obama, outgoing Vice President, and Democratic presidential contender Kamala Harris never gave him any financial assistance.
“They paid me a bag,” Soulja stated in an Instagram Live video. My fucking pockets have never been filled by Obama, ngga. Never once has Kamala put any money in my fucking pockets, ngga. N*gga, Trump placed money in my pockets.
Nelly, meanwhile, asserted that his appearance at Trump’s inaugural event was “not for the money” but rather an act of dignity.
To yet, Snoop Dogg has not responded to the criticisms.
