Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, better known by his stage name Ruggedman, is a seasoned rapper who has taken aim at individuals who criticize Afrobeats artist Davido for his remarks regarding the Nigerian economy.
Davido has come under fire for advising Americans not to consider moving to Africa, particularly Nigeria, claiming in a recent podcast interview that the continent’s economy is in “shambles.”
Ruggedman said that Davido’s remark was spot on.
In order to prevent such remarks in the future, he encouraged the government to correct the economy.
He emphasized that the suffering is intolerable and pointed out that criticizing Davido won’t improve the nation.
“Okay, Davido said what he said. Going forward, the government should fix Nigeria so nobody will say such again,” the musician tweeted on his X handle. The country is not being fixed by all of this barking around.
The difficulty is excessive.
