Olufemi Oluyede has been approved by the House of Representatives to serve as the Chief of Army Staff, or COAS.
The ratification followed the presentation of a report by Committee on Defence Chairman Babajimi Benson.
Oluyede was examined on Wednesday by the Joint Committee on Army and Defence. Remember how President Bola Tinubu selected Oluyede as the Acting COAS because of the poor health of Taoreed Lagbaja, the former Chief of Army Staff, who subsequently died?
