Joe Biden, the president of the United States, has pledged to make sure that Donald Trump, the president-elect, has a smooth and orderly transition.
Speaking to Americans for the first time since Trump’s election victory on Tuesday, Biden made this claim on Thursday.
The President claims that he phoned Trump and gave him his word that his administration would cooperate with his team to make sure the transition was smooth and peaceful.
The inauguration of Trump is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
“I shall uphold the Constitution and carry out my pledge. We’ll have a peaceful handover of power in America on January 20,” Biden continued.
