Austine Okocha, a former captain of the Super Eagles, believes that it is critical that Nigerian football supporters fully embrace Eric Chelle, the team’s new head coach.
Nigerian football fans and commentators have differing opinions about Chelle’s appointment.
According to Okocha, providing the Malian with complete support is crucial to the success of his work.
The former playmaker for Bolton Wanderers went on to say that the Super Eagles’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is crucial.
“The NFF made the decision to select the new coach,” Okocha stated on Lagos Talks FM.
“We ought to allow him to perform his duties.
He and the NFF deserve our support, and we should aim to attend the World Cup.
“When the team performs well, we all gain, so we all want them to qualify for the World Cup.”
