Students at Grimard School of Nursing Science in Anyigba, Kogi State, have been urged by Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the most recent election, to take their studies seriously and get ready for leadership positions in Nigeria in the future.

He honored a pledge he made three months prior when he visited the institution and made this appeal.

Obi gave ₦10 million during his last visit to the school in July to help with infrastructural development and accreditation processes.

The Most Rev. Dr. Anthony Adaji, the Catholic Bishop of Idah, stated during that visit that a coaster bus was required for accrediting purposes, but that a used bus may work just well.

Obi delivered on his pledge yesterday by giving the school a coaster bus and an extra ₦5 million to pay for gasoline and other necessities.

Speaking to the students, the former governor of Anambra State emphasized the increasing need for nursing and related disciplines worldwide and advised them to be committed to their studies.

Noting that Grimard is one of more than 22 nursing and midwifery schools that receive his yearly educational help, he further reassured the school of his continuous support.

Bishop Adaji, who spoke at the ceremony, conveyed his sincere appreciation and praised Obi for his unwavering dedication to healthcare and education. The bishop said, “Obi is not here for political reasons.” “He is here to make sure Nigerian education flourishes.” He want for you to be successful and  lead in the future. Look up to him as a model of integrity in politics.

Mrs. Usman Obonugwa, the school’s provost, also conveyed her sincere gratitude to Obi for his kindness and his continuous contributions to the growth of the organization.

Peter Obi’s commitment to enhancing the nation’s healthcare and education systems is further demonstrated by his visit and gifts.

In order to help the Grimard School of Nursing Science in Anyigba, Kogi State, in their accreditation efforts, Mr. Peter Obi gives Bishop Anthony Adaji the key to a coaster bus.
