Nigerian military disposes of 118 terrorists, captures 97, recovers ten cars,  thirty-three motorcycles.

The Nigerian Armed Forces have made noteworthy progress in their continuous war on terrorist organizations throughout the nation. In just the last week, troops have killed 118 terrorist leaders and fighters and detained 97 others, according to a press announcement released on October 4, 2024.

Along with these significant finds, the Armed Forces have recovered 2,244 different types of ammunition and 87 different types of firearms. In addition, eighteen people who had stolen oil were taken into custody and 96 hostages who had been abducted were freed. Troops stopped oil theft in the South-South region valued at N793,257,250.

One PKT gun, one PKM, one RPG, one auto pistol, forty-three AK47 rifles, fourteen manufactured rifles, fourteen dane guns, and five pump action guns are among the recovered goods. Three Boefeng radios, six AK-47 magazines, 1,715 rounds of 7.62mm special munitions, 505 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, eight rounds of 9mm ammo, fourteen live cartridges, and 89 empty cases of 7.62mm ammo are among the other items found.

In addition, 10 cars, 33 motorcycles, 50 cell phones, and N778,560 in cash were found by the military. In the Niger Delta area, forces uncovered and destroyed four dugout pits, 48 boats, three speedboats, 156 drums, and 34 storage tanks.

In addition, 44 illicit refining sites, eight automobiles, one motorcycle, one tricycle, and twenty-eight cooking ovens were found in the Niger Delta region. Along with these items, the troops found 12,690 liters of PMS, 64,900 liters of illegally refined AGO, and 602,200 gallons of stolen crude oil.
