President Bola Tinubu is committed to putting an end to insecurity in Nigeria and the Southeast, according to Defense Minister Mohammed Badaru.
According to Badaru, a safe atmosphere is essential for both peace and business expansion, which is why the region’s instability must be eliminated.
During an operational visit to Enugu, the Minister spoke to military officers and asked them to step up efforts to fight insecurity in the area.
Henshaw Ogbuike, the Ministry’s spokesperson, made this announcement in a statement on Saturday.
“Under President Tinubu’s leadership, there is a renewed determination to intensify our efforts against all forms of insecurity,” Badaru stated.
Badaru went on to say that Tinubu’s pledge to eradicate all types of insecurity is limited to the entire country, not just a certain area.
The minister said that great strides had been achieved in that direction throughout the past 12 months.
Badaru thanked the state governor, Hope Uzodimma, for his support of the military operations during his visit to Imo.
He declared, “We are committed to putting an end to insecurity in Nigeria.”
This comes after Simon Ekpa, the self-declared prime minister of Biafra, was apprehended and held in Finland on suspicion of terrorism.
By enforcing sit-at-home and unknown gunman policies, Ekpa has been one of the groups funding terrorism in the Southeast.
