Nigeria was on Thursday plunged into darkness when the country’s national grid crashed again.
The bulk power supply was cut at 11:20am on Thursday.
This was confirmed on X by Nigeria National Grid via @NationalGridNg
It posted the following tweet: “Another Grid Setback Experienced.”
In the past eleven months, the grid has collapsed twelve times, including twice this week.
Nigerians’ reactions to the development on social media have been conflicted.
Regarding the cause of Thursday’s grid collapse, the Transmission Company of Nigeria has yet to release an official statement.
However, recall that TCN blamed the grid failure on lines and generator faults on Tuesday.
