On YouTube, 22-year-old Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known by her stage name Ayra Starr, has eclipsed fellow performer Yemi Alade to become the most-viewed Nigerian female musician ever.
After receiving 811 million views on YouTube, Ayra Starr surpassed Alade, who had 805 million views. Her most viewed video on the platform is her smash song “Rush,” which has received over 395 million views.
In 2022, “Rush” became widely known worldwide and peaked at number 24 on the charts in a variety of nations, including Switzerland, Ireland, and the UK.
Yemi Alade continues to lead with 2.41 million subscribers, while Ayra Starr now has the second-highest figure at 2.26 million.
