According to Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the federal government is working feverishly to address the nation’s security issues.

On Tuesday’s episode of Channels Television’s Politics Today, Tunji-Ojo stated that the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, and the National Security Advisor, Nuhu Ribadu, are all having trouble sleeping because of the problem. “No one is sleeping.

Not Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the NSA, the DSS, the Chief of Defence Staff, or the Minister of Defence. “We are all busy; nobody is sleeping.

The minister declared, “I will not sit here and refuse to take responsibility for the security of Nigerians on behalf of the President. This is a major national concern.”

He said that since President Bola Tinubu’s administration took office, the country’s security has improved and that military have defeated the terrorists from Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa Province, or ISWAP.

He emphasised that the current government had set the standard for protecting Nigerians’ lives and property.

Speaking on the latest attack in Sokoto and Kebbi State by a new terror cell, the minister advised Nigerians to refrain from passing judgement on Tinubu, stating that the President was aware of the security challenges.

“The President is cognisant of these concerns. The degree of assurance should not be used to evaluate the President or this government. Talk is cheap; action is what matters most. ”

“We arrived on May 29 of last year; I don’t want politicians to get involved. All of us are aware of the circumstances; have we reached our desired destination? No, is the response.

Were we at the same place? No, is the response. We’ve come a long way,” Tunji-Ojo said.
