Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the state command, revealed in a statement that Ogundimu, the victim’s brother, who lives in Mushin, Lagos State, reported the incident.

She claimed that after getting a report, Sango-Ota Division officers arrived on the site quickly and arrested Akinmolayan.

Odutola added that Akinmolayan allegedly used a grinding stone to strike the survivor on the top of her head, seriously injuring her. The victim was then taken to the hospital right away for treatment.

According to the statement, Ogundimu, the survivor’s brother and resident of Mushin, Lagos State, reported the crime on November 28. His neighbors in Sango-Ota told him that Akinmolayan had gravely hurt his sister.

During the assault, the suspect injured people’s heads. After visiting the scene and taking pictures, detectives took the survivor to Banuso Clinic in Ota so they could receive medical care.

Evidence was found, including clothes covered with blood and the grinding stone that was reportedly used during the assault. An first inquiry is in progress.

Four Robbery Suspects Are Arrested by Police in Abuja
In the meantime, police officers recently captured at least four suspected armed robbers during a raid at the Dei-Dei lumber shed in Abuja.

In a statement provided to reporters, the police commissioner for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Olatunji Rilwan Disu, revealed that detectives from the Dei-Dei ‘B’ Division had made the arrests as part of an operation that was carried out on orders from the command and targeted a number of criminal hideouts.

He claimed that the operation was started on the basis of trustworthy intelligence and that the four suspects were eventually apprehended.

Nura Halilu, Salim Mohammed, Saifullahi Usman, and Usman Mohammed are the people that were taken into custody.
