Nigerian singer, Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has urged his colleagues to stop chasing number 1 songs on streaming platforms.

He encouraged them to focus on their crafts, stressing that most songs’ numbers on some streaming platforms don’t correlate with other platforms.

“Leave social media algorithms, focus on your craft. Have you ever heard of a guy called Killer Mike, guess not … 4 times Grammy winner.

“Stop chasing number 1 song , it’s meh now = everything can be controlled…. He wrote, “The majority of those songs don’t have numbers that match up on other platforms.

Kizz Daniel explained in a different post that while he isn’t opposed to using bots to increase streams because it’s a marketing tactic, it’s not for well-known

He claimed that rather than disparaging his peers, his role was to support up-and-coming musicians in releasing their music without worrying about it failing to catch on with streaming services.

“Farming is marketing for placement and all, therefore it’s not a crime. However, who gets the money?

“We’re not trying to disparage anyone here before the beginning; we’re just encouraging the younger generation to uncover those undiscovered treasures. Daniel wrote, “I will learn.”
